Lady Doggers spoil NCHS Homecoming

LUSK – The Lingle-Fort Laramie High School volleyball team spoiled the Niobrara County High School 2020 Homecoming last Friday.

The Lady Doggers swept the Lady Tigers, 3-0 (25-11, 25-20, 25-16).

Lingle jumped out to a 9-3 lead in the opening set cruising to the victory.

In the second set, the Lady Tigers held a brief lead, before the Lady Doggers pulled away late for the win.

In the deciding set, L-FL used a 10-1 run in the third to pull away for the sweep.

Freshman Natalie Speckner led Lingle with eight kills and 11 digs, while junior Tiah Meyer added seven. Junior M’Lynn Hill, senior Kaylie Rafferty and sophomores Baylee Skinner and Kamryn Rafferty had four apiece.

Meyer and Hill added eight digs each.

As a team, the Lady Doggers served up 11 aces, including three apiece from junior Paige Dennett and Meyer.

The Lady Doggers (4-6) travel to Burns (4-6) on Saturday. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
