Lady Doggers record two big wins

LINGLE – The Lingle-Fort Laramie Lady Doggers rolled to two weekend wins, both by 20 or more points, beating Kaycee on Friday, 57-28, and Rock River on Saturday, 55-35.

LFL 57, Kaycee 28
Three Lady Doggers were in double-figures against Kaycee on the road Friday. Makenna Greenwald topped the stat sheet, with 16 points to her credit. She also tied for second on the team in boards, with seven. Greenwald contributed two assists and three steals on Friday.
Kaylynn Jefferson amassed 15 points, all coming from behind the arc. She paired her scoring performance with seven rebounds and two steals. Georgia Wollert was the final Lady Dogger in double-digits, with 13 points. Wollert led LFL in rebounds, with eight, and steals, with six.

Jade Cooper was the next biggest contributor for the Lady Doggers, pouring in nine points. She nailed two of LFL’s seven three-pointers.
The Lady Doggers shot 45 percent from the field in the win. As a team, they hit 7-of-17 from behind the arc. LFL was sent to the charity stripe only six times, knocking down four free throws.

LFL 55, Rock River 35
LFL’s shooting percentage dropped to 30 percent on Saturday, but the Lady Doggers came away with the home win, 55-35, over Rock River.
Jefferson’s 20 points on Saturday led LFL. She nailed six three-pointers and added two points from the charity stripe. Jefferson also recorded five rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Wollert turned in a solid scoring day, with 15 points. She hit 6-of-7 from the and recorded a double-double on the day, hauling in 10 rebounds. Wollert added three assists and three steals.
Cooper, with nine points, and Greenwald, with seven, rounded out the top scorers for the Lady Doggers. The two combined for 11 rebounds, four assists and five steals.
After the two wins, the Lady Doggers sit at 9-9 on the season. They only have two games remaining in the regular season. LFL heads to Burns Friday to play at 5:30 p.m. Its final game comes against 2A’s top-ranked Pine Bluffs Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
