The Torrington Lady Trailblazers suffered a loss in the opening round of the 3A East Regional Tournament, dropping them to the consolation bracket.

DOUGLAS – The Torrington Lady Trailblazers came out slow this morning against Worland and were unable to recover, falling in the 3A East Regional Tournament opening round, 45-28.
There was tough defense by both teams to open the contest, but Worland was able to sneak out to a 6-0 lead. At the end of the first, Torrington was behind 10-6. A three-pointer by Logan Murphy late in the second quarter cut Worland's lead to 18-17 at intermission.
The Lady Warriors came out hot in the third quarter, taking a 26-21 lead into the final eight minutes of action. Worland took over the game starting in the fourth, rushing out to a 33-21 lead. The Lady Warriors didn't look back, taking the 45-28 win.
With the loss, the Lady Blazers fall to the consolation round where they play the loser between Wheatland and Buffalo. Torrington returns to the floor at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow.
