L-FL boys drop to Morrill

MORRILL, Neb. – The Lingle-Fort Laramie Doggers held their own in the first half, leading for a portion of the game, but they were down at halftime on Tuesday in Morrill, eventually falling 60-48.

After a back-and-forth first half, the Doggers were down 33-26 at the break. In the second half, the Lions expanded on their lead, going on to win by 12 points.

Mason McFadden topped the scoring sheet for the Doggers, pouring in 13 points in the loss, which he paired with a team-high eight rebounds and an assist.

Ty Mueller, with 12 points, and Rhett Greenwald, with 11 points, rounded out the L-FL boys in double-figures. Mueller had two boards, an assist and a steal, while Greenwald chipped in six boards. Caeden Riley kicked in seven points and Hayden Hill rounded out the scoring with five points. The pair also combined for seven rebounds and an assist.

The Doggers dropped to 2-10 on the year. They look to right the ship this weekend with a pair of games, playing on the road in Burns on Friday at 7 p.m., before hosting Pine Bluffs on Saturday, with a 4 p.m. tipoff.
