TORRINGTON – Graveside services for Joyce E. Kirchhefer, 70, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at the Valley View Cemetery with Brent Anderson officiating. Joyce died March 22, 2021 at Community Hospital in Torrington. Memorials may be given to the Yoder Fire Department. The casket will be closed. Joyce was born July 13, 1950 in Torrington, the daughter of Earl and Laura (McCarty) Werner. She grew up and received her education in Yoder, graduating Goshen Hole High School in 1968. She married Gary Kirchhefer in 1969 and they were later divorced in 2004. She continued living in Yoder where she raised goats and other animals and later processed wild game for hunters in the area.
Joyce enjoyed gardening and yardwork.
Joyce is survived by her son Gary Bruce Kirchhefer II of Hawk Springs; a daughter Joylene (Brent) Anderson of Yoder; a brother David Earl Werner; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Jim Werner.
