FORT LARAMIE – John “Johnny” “Duke” Clarence Crittenden, 81, of Fort Laramie, passed away Aug. 16, 2018.

John was born in December 1936 in Hillside, N.J. He graduated from Roger Ludlow High School in 1954.

In 1961, he found the company he would build his career around, Plastic Tooling Aids (PTA). He retired as a Tool & Die Machinist in 1999 in Boulder, Colo., one of his favorite places. He then moved to Fort Laramie where his friends Ron and Vicki Pomeroy live. John and Ron have been friends for 50 years.

John loved guns, reading books, hunting, fishing and women but not necessarily in that order.

John was preceded in death by his son Robin and his sister Carol. John is survived by his two children, Patti Gable (Crittenden) and Michael John Crittenden and his sister, Alice Botsko (Crittenden), two grandsons, Derek and Spencer Gable, nephew Eddie Botsko, and brother in-law Robert Botsko.

At John’s request, he asked that no services be held in his honor.

We will love you and miss you always Dad, Johnny or Duke.
