John Blair Ludens

TORRINGTON – John Blair “Ludy” Ludens, 72, of Torrington, took his final ride on Jan. 2, 2020. 

He was bornin Morrison, Ill., on Feb. 27, 1947, to L.A. and Gladys Ludens. 

John was a past president of Wyoming Professional Photographers and also a Member of Rocky Mountain Professional Photographers. He owned Ludens Studio for 20 years.

He worked with some great people at Holly Sugar, the Torrington Telegram as a press operator and Valley Motor Supply, where he was employed until he retired. 

John was a Master Mason and a Shriner. He belonged to the Torrington Jaycees and was a Charter Member of ABATE. He was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge, NRA and HOG.

He leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Gayle (Fisher), sons Jacob Ryan Ludens (Diane); Nathan John Ludens (Kat) and his “special buds,” grandsons Bode and Ian of Las Vegas, Nev. He is also survived by his sister, Jane Ross Williams (Linn) of Carmel Valley, Calif.

Funeral Services will be 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, at the First Wyoming United Presbyterian Church with a celebration of life to follow at the Torrington American Legion.

In lieu of flowers, “Ride on Remembrances” can be made in John’s name to the Shriners Children Hospital.
