TORRINGTON – Memorial graveside services for Joan Rodriguez, 62, will be held Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the Valley View Cemetery with Father Ray Moss officiating. A Rosary will be recited April 7, 2021 at 7 p.m. at the Riverside Church of Christ. Joan died March 21, 2021 at Granite Rehabilitation in Cheyenne. A memorial has been established to the family. Joan was born March 23, 1958 in Douglas, the daughter of Esequiel and Jennie (Castro) Rodriguez. She grew up in Riverton before moving to Torrington in 1981, where she has lived since. Joan enjoyed coloring, painting, puzzles, gardening, music, attending church, socializing with everyone and babysitting her nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Munoz, Joshua Rodriguez, Mario Rodriguez, Shawn Johnson, Paco Rodriguez, Emilio Sanchez, Greg Rodriguez and Mark Larson.
Joan is survived by her mother Jennie Rodriguez; a brother Richard (Myalee) Rodriguez; sisters Roseann (Chris) William, Tapi Rodriguez, Theresa Rodriguez and Mary (Eric) Borrego; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Esequiel Rodriguez; a brother Esequiel Rodriguez Jr.; and two sisters Caroline Hope and Pauline.
