TORRINGTON – Jerry Wayne Caldwell, 84, of Torrington passed away on March 30, 2020.

Jerry was born Aug. 14, 1935, in Lyman, Neb., to Chester C Caldwell and Margaret E. (Stimpert) Caldwell.  He married Mary Ann Schreiner in 1953, from this union had seven children. 

Jerry served as a mechanic in the Wyoming Army National Guard for more than 30 years.  He retired in April 1987.  He was a member of the 960th Maintenance Co. 

He was an avid motorcyclist. He and Mary Ann traveled thousands of miles on motorcycles.  Most of the community will remember his motorcycle with a side-car for Mary Ann.  He enjoyed black powder rifle competitions and driving his tractors around the neighborhood.

His is survived by his children: Roger (Teri) Caldwell of Buffalo, Trish (Jack) Aitken of Meeker, Colo., Linda (Tim) Chamberlain of Wheatland, Gary Caldwell of Wildwood Fla., Connie (John) Aitken of Meeker and Craig Caldwell of Torrington; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; his sister, Jane Fritzler of Torrington, and brother James Caldwell of Douglas.  

He is proceeded in death by his wife Mary Ann (2018), his son Randy (1971), his father and mother, one granddaughter, Dallas, one brother, Don and his daughter-in-law, Tammy. 

A memorial service is planned for a later date.
