TORRINGTON – A Celebration of Life for Jennifer Lou Utecht will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020, at the American Legion Hall in Torrington.

Jennifer died Jan. 26, 2020, at her home in Torrington. Friends and family are welcome to come and share their memories.

She was born Oct. 22, 1946. Her early years were spent in Iowa, attending schools in Perciville and Hamburg. As a young teen, Jennifer moved to Torrington with her father, Larry, and stepmother, Laverene Barnes.

She married Herman Peterson in 1962 and the couple had three daughters.

In 1978, she married Roger Utecht in Denver, Colo., and later, in 1985, married Fred Currier.

Jennifer lived a very full, eventful, fun life. Everybody that knew our mom knew life was never dull.

Jennifer is survived by her husband Fred, of Torrington; her mother Marjorie McQueen, of Iowa; brother Kenny (Kathy) Barnes of Torrington; sisters Shirley (Kenny) Thrasher of Iowa, Debbie (Chuck) Stoeger of Torrington, Patty (Brad) Essert of Torrington, Cindy (Randy) Wiggins of Scottsbluff, Neb., and Karen (Scott) Lacy of Torrington; Daughters Colleen (Danny) Niles of Downs, Kan., Connie Peterson of Torrington, Crissy (Johnny) Nowak of Lingle, and Anna (Trent) Treziok of Cheyenne; nine grandsons, three granddaughters, nine great-grandchildren and 17 nieces and nephews. 

Burial will be in Nebraska City, Neb., at a later date.

We all know how deeply we loved her and dearly she will be missed
