James “Mick” Kondrach

TORRINGTON – Funeral services for James “Mick” Kondrach, 81, will be 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 2019, at North Hills Baptist Church in Lingle with Pastor David Anderson officiating. Burial will be at 2:30pm at the Douglas Park Cemetery in Douglas. Mick died at his home on Dec. 1, 2019. Memorials may be given to the North Hills Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are by the Colyer Funeral Home and condolences may be sent to www.colyerfuneralhome.com.

Mick was born June 26, 1938, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, the son of John and Betty (Wilson) Kondrach. He grew up in Ohio and received his education there. After graduation he joined the US Navy where he served for 20 years. Just after he entered the Navy, he married Patricia MacKall on May 21, 1958. After his discharge from the Navy he started work for the Bureau of Reclamation as an electrician on dams across the country. After 20 years with them he retired to Fort Laramie and to travel the world. Pat died in 2009.

Mick enjoyed traveling, reading and being involved in church activities. He was a member of North Hills Baptist Church where he served in any capacity he could.

Mick is survived by two daughters Tracey (Steve) Johnson and Shelley Midgett all of Casper; four sisters Marilyn Grelles of Elizabeth City, N.C., Debbie (Paul) Curnes of Martins Ferry, Ohio, Sally (Bob) Bunker of Virginia Beach, Va., and Sue (Don) Canaday of Guernsey; two brothers Gilbert (Marie) Kondrach of Hudson, Fla., and Richard Speidel of Sheridan; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Pat; two sons James Jr and John; a grandson Christopher; and several brothers and sisters.
