James “Jim” Lee White

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – James (Jim) Lee White of Las Vegas passed away on Aug. 13, 2021. He was born on June 8, 1966 in Torrington, Wyoming. James graduated from Torrington High School in 1984 then attended Eastern Wyoming College where he earned a degree in Criminal Justice. He joined the United States Air Force where he served for 23 years. While stationed in Anchorage, Alaska he met his beloved wife, Laura. Most recently James was working as a contractor with the Royal Saudi Air Force.

James loved everything to do with remote control planes. He enjoyed building planes and flying them. His wife thought he would crash them on purpose just to rebuild them with a new design. James was very handy and could fix anything. He also enjoyed building and shooting his black powder rifles. He had a great sense of humor and loved playing pranks on those he loved. He was a man who loved spending time with family and friends. James will be remembered as caring, affectionate, stubborn, family oriented and hardworking.

James is survived by the love of his life, Laura White; his children, Trenton and Jesse White; his mother, Linda White. His sisters, Joyce (Bill) McKiney and Janet (Travis) Ekwall, and his nieces, Kacie (Alan) Turbille, Tyler (Kody) McClun, Darcy (Tanner) Hort, Morgan Ekwall, Shelby Ekwall and Haylee Ekwall and Uncle Gail Salmon and several great nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. James is preceded in death by his daughter, Rhoswyn White and his father, Dorence (Bob) White.

Services for James “Jim” White will be at 11 a.m. Saturday Sept. 4, 2021 at Valley View Cemetery in Torrington with a lunch following at the VFW in Torrington.
