TORRINGTON – Funeral services for Jackie Miller, 54, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at the First Wyoming United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Kate Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View
Cemetery. 

Jackie died April 5, 2018 at Swedish Hospital in Denver, Colo. with her family by her side. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the family to assist with medical and funeral expenses. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home and the casket will be open prior to the service at the church. Jackie was born Aug. 26, 1963, in Torrington, the daughter of Wilbert “Willie” and Jeanette (Munroe) Etzel. She grew up and received her education in Torrington, graduating Torrington High School in 1982. She worked various jobs before entering the banking business. She was employed as a teller at Pinnacle Bank at the time of her death. She married James Miller on April 13, 1984 in Torrington.

Jackie enjoyed baking and was well known for her cooking. She also enjoyed crafts especially scrap booking. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Her greatest pride and joy was her granddaughter Gianna.

Jackie is survived by her husband James of Torrington; daughter Ashley Miller of Torrington; son Justin Miller (Crystal Ducheneaux and boys) of Torrington; mother Jeanette Johnson of Torrington; granddaughter Gianna Gomez of Torrington; sisters Jerri Pat Weimer of Morrill, Neb., and Lori (Rod) Derr of Lyman, Neb.; brother Mark (Diana) Etzel of Gillette; and numerous in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her father Wilbert Etzel; step-father Don Johnson; her maternal and paternal grandparents; and brother-in-law Mike Weimer.
