CHEYENNE – Jackie Albert “Jack” Joy, 84, of Cheyenne, was called home to our Lord on June 23, 2018.

He was born Aug. 3, 1933, in Torrington to Earl and Frances Joy. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Lyman High School in Nebraska. 

He married Stella May Ross in 1953. Jack served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956. After his return to civilian life, Jack worked in a variety of agriculture areas, farming and ranching, to combine mechanic for many years.

Jack is survived by his wife, Stella, daughters Sandra Mikesell, Marilyn Lane, Darla Joy and son, Russell; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brothers Darrell, David and Edwin and sister Deloris and Edna.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Donald, Dale and Wesley, and three grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3312 Lincolnway in Cheyenne. Interment will be at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
