TORRINGTON – Jack Dean Schrader, 80, died at his home Jan. 30, 2021, in Torrington.
He was born July 1, 1940, in Winters Creek, Neb., the son of Henry Karl Schrader and Pauline Emma (Lehr) Schrader. He married the love of his life Theresa (Sallie) Simpson on July 29, 1962, and they settled in Torrington. Jack received his GED later in life. He spent a big portion of his life working at Chester B. Brown Company after retiring; he then worked at Kurt Manufacturing and Walmart. When Jack was not working, he enjoyed spending time with the love of his life and family on their farm near Lyman.
Jack enjoyed fishing, golfing and going to sporting events and watching his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers and sisters.
Survived by his daughters, Cindy (George) Baldridge of Torrington and Susie (Greg) Asa of Morrill. Son, Douglas Schrader of Wright. Grandchildren Theresa Hypes, Nicholas Steinmetz, Michelle Steinmetz, Alexis Asa, Dustin (Nashila) Baldridge, Eli Asa and seven great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
