Lingle-Fort Laramie Elementary School partnered with the PRACTICE after-school program Thursday during National Computer Science Week to host its second-ever Hour of Code. The event, created by Code.org, is a one-hour introduction to computer science for students of all ages. Nina Grubbs, left, with children Baron, second grade, and Laney, a fifth-grader, braved the cold weather to participate. “I’ve never (used code) before, but it’s interesting to see how it works,” Nina said, as Baron worked to solve a Minecraft puzzle and Laney played a holiday-themed game involving the Grinch and Christmas presents. The PRACTICE program provided treats and refreshments at the event.
