TORRINGTON – The Community Hospital Auxiliary is looking to promote educational opportunities in the medical field for Goshen County students with two $1,000 scholarships.
Application for the Community Hospital Auxiliary scholarship may be picked up at Eastern Wyoming College and guidance counselor offices at Torrington, Lingle-Fort Laramie and Southeast high schools, as well as at Hospital Auxiliary gift shop 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. during the week.
Students must be a resident of Goshen County at the time of application and be enrolled in college for the 2019 fall semester. Applicants must submit a 500-word essay and their most recent available transcript along with one letter of recommendation from a professional in the academic or medical field.
Essays should address educational goals, influences to pursue a medical career and need. Applicants may also discuss their “unique personal attributes” and out-of-school activities.
The application deadline is April 5. Completed applications may be submitted to: Community Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship Committee, 2000 Campbell Dr., Torrington, WY 82240.
