A crew uses heavy equipment to move the second of two Chicago and Northwestern Railroad passenger cars from the outskirts of the Homesteader Museum campus to behind the main building, the former Torrington train depot, on Wednesday south of Torrington.
The passenger car slips into its new position behind the old South Torrington rail depot, home of the Homesteader Museum, on Wednesday south of Torrington. Doors leading from the old baggage room at the depot will be returned to working order to provide easier access to the two passenger cars moved Wednesday for programs and events.
A crew braves the wind Wednesday on the Homesteader Museum grounds to manipulate a switch to move a Torrington Short Line caboose into a new position on the grounds. The caboose is one of two the city is currently accepting bids on to sell.
