TORRINGTON – Helen Louise (Arndt) Greenly Warren passed away peacefully at her home on June 10, 2021. Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service is scheduled for a later date.
She was born Sept. 10, 1932, in Lingle to Harley and Oca (Castor) Arndt. She graduated from Fort Laramie High School in 1950 and was a long-time area resident.
In 1956, she married Ronald K. (Tuffy) Greenly of Hawk Springs and divorced in 1972. In 1974, she married Bertram “Bert” Warren of Alliance, Nebraska, and they lived in Alliance and Sterling, Colorado, prior to returning to Torrington in 1992. She worked as a telephone operator and customer service rep for United Telephone Company of the West until her retirement.
In retirement, she enjoyed traveling making trips to Europe, England, Scotland and Singapore. She enjoyed refinishing furniture, gardening, fishing, watching Broncos and Rockies and gambling trips.
Helen is survived by her daughter, LeAnna Johnson, and son, Brad Greenly, both of Torrington, and two grandchildren James B. Johnson and Stewart H. Johnson both of Austin, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bert Warren (2013), four siblings and her first husband Ronald K. (Tuffy) Greenly (1973).
