RAWLINS – Torrington High School duo Ryder Hackbarth and Sydney Eaton paced the Blazer teams at Monday’s rescheduled 3A East Conference Golf Tournament in Rawlins, earning all-conference honors for placing in the top 10.
“Ryder and Sydney had good days for us, shooting two of their better rounds of the year for all-conference,” THS coach Jeff Halley said.
Eaton finished eighth with a round of 106. Lauren Orr finished 18th with a 130 at the Rochelle Ranch Golf Course.
In the boys’ division, Hackbarth finished ninth with an 86. Gage Gibson and Malachi Braddy tied for 19th with a 96. Josh Stitt placed 25th with a 105, while Alex Waring shot a 113 to come home tied for 26th.
As a team, the Blazers finished fifth with a 383. Worland won the team title with a 312, while Riverton was second with 321.
“Our conference is loaded with Worland and Riverton on the boys’ side, and Wheatland and Riverton on the girls.” Halley said. “There wasn’t much room for any others to sneak into the top 10. I was very pleased that we could get one in both the boys and the girls’ side.”
Torrington wraps up the 2020 season with a trip to Evanston for the Wyoming 3A State Tournament at the Purple Sage Golf Course. Action tees off at 9 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday in the team’s only two-day event of the season.
