Ruhrer is the grandson of Craig Fullmer, who was a state champion high-hurdler for Lingle-Fort Laramie. Fullmer had two children go on to win state championships of their own, including his daughter and Ruhrer’s mother, Kim Carpenter, right. Troy Ruhrer, left, also joined Marcus on his signing day.
