Goshen County has taken drastic steps to protect its employees this afternoon by making county offices available by appointment only.
According to a press release this afternoon from Goshen County Clerk Kenyon, the Goshen County Board of Commissioners held an emergency meeting to determine how to best handle the situation.
"Today at an emergency meeting of the Goshen County Commissioners, action was taken to modify services at the Courthouse in response to the Covid 19 pandemic crisis," the release said.
"All Courthouse offices will be open by appointment only. Business will be conducted by appointment, mail, fax, email and telephone unless a personal visit is necessary. Each department will decide what level of service is needed for each individual.
"The Courts will determine their own modifications. The doors will be locked and phone numbers posted at every entrance. Our public servants remain dedicated to the community. The changes are in place until April 30 or until the situation demands change."
