Goshen County Library hosts virtual Valentine's Day event

GOSHEN COUNTY – Goshen County Library is holding a virtual jazz concert fundraiser for Valentine’s Day weekend on Feb. 13 at 7 p.m.

Tickets for the event are on sale on the library’s Facebook page and include options for access to the virtual concert for $25, plus heart-shaped pizza and dessert for two for $50 or a family option of two pizzas and dessert for $75. Those who opt for either of the pizza and dessert deals will receive a delivery from library board members.

Library Director Cristine Braddy said they will communicate delivery time with ticket holders.

The concert, featuring the Teachers and Preachers jazz combo with members Gary Glass, Nate Beutler, Drew Duncan and Paul Braddy, will be live, with the opportunity for virtual guests to make song requests.

“February is ‘Love Your Library’ month, so we wanted to do something along that theme of library lovers and to provide things for people to do,” Braddy said. “This is something you could do as a family; you don’t have to leave your home. It’s going to be lots of fun.”

Those interested can stream the concert after Feb. 13 as well. Proceeds will go toward the library’s wish list of improvements for 2021, which is available on their website, goshencountylibrary.org.

To purchase tickets, visit the library website or their Facebook page, Goshen County Library.
