TORRINGTON – Do you have questions about your garden, lawn, trees, or shrubs? Or, maybe an insect you found in the basement or other nuisance critters? Then come on out to the Goshen County Extension Office and get your questions answered by a Goshen County Master Gardener.
The Goshen County Master Gardeners are operating a free, Plant and Pest Diagnostic Clinic, where they will answer your tough questions about everything – from things that you spot on your tomato to browning needles on your pine tree. Or, maybe the strange bug you found on your walk yesterday or in your garden?
The Goshen County Master Gardener Plant and Pest Diagnostic Clinic is open Tuesdays from 1-3 p.m.; and for those who need to stop by after work, the clinic is also open on Tuesdays from 5-7 p.m. No appointment necessary, walk-ins welcome. You can also call to talk with a master gardener during clinic hours by calling the Extension Office at 307-532-2436; or send an email to goshencountyppdc@gmail.com
For your questions and concerns, bring in a sample of the plant, insect or other pest if possible, as it helps immensely to correctly diagnose the problem and provide options for control. Pictures of the problem are also helpful, including the surroundings where the plant is located, or the bug was found, etc.
