TORRINGTON – Gloria “Bonnie” Cecil, 74, died March 5, 2019, at the Goshen Care Center in Torrington.

Memorial services will be 10:30 am, Friday, March 8, at East Gate Baptist Church with Pastor David Anderson officiating. Burial will take place at a later date and the Colyer Funeral Home has assisted the family with cremation arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Goshen County Care Center Alzheimer’s Unit.

Bonnie was born Jan. 19, 1945, in Torrington, the daughter of Robert G. and Lavone (Hatcher) Randolph. She grew up in Torrington and attended Torrington schools. Bonnie married Myron P. Cecil in 1961 and the couple raised their family in the Lyman/Huntley area. She worked as a waitress and enjoyed working for her dad at his restaurant, Randolph’s Steak House.

She enjoyed decorating, writing, crafts, shopping, singing, Christmas and participating in many church activities. Spending time with her Christian friends was important to her. Bonnie was a member of Light House Ministries. She took delight spending time with her children and grandchildren and taught them about the Love of Jesus and importance of Salvation.

Bonnie suffered from Alzheimer’s for many years that took her life, but Jesus has her soul. 

Survivors include her four children, daughter Tonja (Lucio) Dimas, son Troy (Brenda) Cecil, daughter Heather (Karl) Arnusch and son Ryan (Melody) Cecil; sister Vicky K. (Elmer) Chavez; brother Robert R. Randolph; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Myron; grandson Randy Montague; granddaughter Kira Vickery and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
