TORRINGTON – Grave side services for Gisela P. Sanford, 88, will be 10 a.m Friday, April 12, 2019, at the Valley View Cemetery with Pastor Lonnie Crowe officiating.
Gisela died April 5, 2019, at Scottsbluff Health and Rehabilitation in Scottsbluff, Neb., and cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made to the Hawk Springs Rescue Unit.

Gisela was born Dec. 4, 1930, in Mannheim, Germany, the daughter of Johann and Alma (Mayer) Specht. She received her education in Germany.
She married LaVern Sanford on March 3, 1954, in St. John’s, Canada, and they moved to Hawk Springs, at that time. She was a homemaker all her life while her husband worked.
LaVern died in 2018 and she continued to live in Hawk Springs.
Gisela is survived by her sister Irene Antes of Mannheim, Germany; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.
