FULERTON, Calif. – Frank George Haraksin, 79, of Fullerton went to be with our Lord the morning of Oct. 4, 2021. He was born May 28, 1942, in New York City to Andrew and Julia Haraksin. He met his wife, Fran, in 1957. They were still kids and were married on Feb. 24, 1962. To them were born four children.

He followed his brothers to California in 1963, where he worked construction. In 1975, on a wing and a prayer, he followed his dream of becoming a cowboy when the family moved to Huntley, Wyoming. The small farm and ranch community was the perfect setting to happily raise their family. Many life-long friendships were made through school activities, high school sports and 4-H. He also continued his construction expertise in the forming of H & H Construction. In the 1980’s, Fran and Frank moved back to California and then to Arizona, where he worked in customer service until his retirement. In 2018, their final move took them back to California.

Frank leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Fran; his brother, John (Phyllis) Haraksin and sister in-law, Jonelle Haraksin. He also leaves his son, Frank II (Jackie) Haraksin; his daughters, Gina (David) Briggs, Denise (David) Eberhardt and Kim (Michael) Keener, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was blessed with eight grandchildren, Frank III, Simone, Gemma, Blaise and Lance Haraksin; Tyler (Brooke) Briggs and Lindsey (Shawn) Spears; and Mikey Keener. Adding to those blessings are four great-grandchildren: Frank IV, Caden Briggs, Jackson Spears and Asher Tellez.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Andy and Joe; Fran’s parents, Joe and Ruth LaBartunek, and in-laws, John LaBartunek, Helen (Tony) Ricco, Patti (John) Bisaha and Joey LaBartunek.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 25, 2021, at 10 a.m. at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, 235 South Pine Drive, Fullerton, CA 92833 with the Rosary being recited prior to the Mass at 9:45 a.m. Join us for lunch as we celebrate his life at the Highway 39 Event Center, 1563 S. State College Boulevard, Anaheim, CA 92806 following the service. Please note that masks are required at both locations.
