TORRINGTON – Francis Earl Fales, 86, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021 at the Goshen Care Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at Lifeway Church with Pastor Marty Rostad officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery.
The family asks that you give to the charity of your choice, in Francis’ name.

Francis was born Dec. 22, 1934, in Torrington, the son of John Ellis and Leona Loraine (Coons) Fales. He grew up in Torrington and graduated from Torrington High School in 1953. After graduation, he met Alice Irene Deitrick and the couple was married Aug. 1, 1954 in Henry, Neb.
Francis was a horse trainer, had a custom haying company and raised sheep and cattle. He was also very good at rebuilding and repairing saddles. The couple remodeled and sold several homes together.
He enjoyed horses, roping, 4H and rodeo.
Survivors include his son Curtis Fales; brothers, Marvin, John and Neil Fales; sisters, Connie Wagner and Janice Konestes; and 6 grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife Alice; daughters, Odessa and Glenda; son David; grandson “DZ” David Zachrey; brothers, Donald, Lester and Norval Fales and sisters, Dorma Wright and Alice Binns.
