TORRINGTON – Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for Frances Mary Glass, 71, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at St Rose Catholic Church with Father Ray Moss officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery.
Frances died March 9, 2018, at her home in Torrington. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the church. The casket will be closed. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St Rose Church or Regional West Hospice.

Frances was born Aug. 23, 1946, in Scottsbluff, Neb., the daughter of George and Margaret (Houchins) Amberg. She graduated Torrington High School in 1964 and attended one year at Durham Business College in San Antonio, Texas.
She then married Rand Glass and moved to Anchorage, Alaska, and had two children: Carolyn Diane and Paul Eugene. They later divorced. They moved to Florida and then she moved to Torrington in 1989. She worked for Downing and Reed, Burns Insurance, and Farmers Insurance before working as a realtor for Premier Properties until late 2017. She was on home hospice until her death.
Fran was a member of St Rose Catholic Church.
Fran is survived by her daughter Carolyn Foster of Mesa, Ariz.; her son Paul Glass of Orlando, Fla.; three sisters Patricia Amberg, Margaret “Tinker” Clarke and Rosemarie Kilgore, all of Torrington; a brother Thomas Amberg of Arvada, Colo.; grandchildren Shawn Rosser, Joseph Rosser, Nicolas Rosser, Alexandria Rosser, Jesse Rosser, Brady Foster, Cadyn Arntt, Tammy Glass and Delaney Glass; and great-grandchildren Wyatt Smith and Colton Rosser.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Nancy Rhynsburger and Marlene Schlager.
