TORRINGTON – The Torrington Youth Series Rodeo continued action last week, with the fifth of eight rodeos of the summer Wednesday at the Goshen County Fairgrounds.
The action is heating up this summer, with more than half of the rodeos in the rearview mirror. Awards are given to the top competitors in each division, as long as the participant partakes in at least six rodeos throughout the summer.
Action rolls on tonight (Wednesday) for the sixth rodeo of the summer, beginning at 6 p.m. Next week’s rodeo was moved to Tuesday to be a premier attraction during the Goshen County Fair. The final rodeo of the summer is slated for Aug. 2.
Here are the results from the fifth rodeo of the summer:
11-14 Boys Goat Tying – 1. Tate Talkington, Scottsbluff, Neb., 9.7 seconds; 2. Seth Glass, Potter, Neb., 11.2 seconds; 3. Cory James Bomhoff, Cheyenne, 11.4 seconds; 4. Woodrow Brow, Wheatland, 11.8 seconds.
11-14 Girls Goat Tying – 1. Adi Jo Martin, Pleasant Valley, Ariz., 11.1 seconds; 2. Clara Petersen, Torrington, 11.6 seconds; 3. Danielle Brow, Wheatland, 11.7 seconds.
