TORRINGTON – The National Junior College Athletics Association (NJCAA) released their latest national volleyball poll on Monday afternoon, and the Eastern Wyoming College Lady Lancer program moved up four spots to No. 12.
EWC is coming off a 3-0 weekend at the Laramie County Community College Invite in Cheyenne with wins over Central (Neb.) Community College- Columbus, Trinidad State (Colo.) Junior College and Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College.
The Lady Lancers continue to be only of only two Region IX programs to be ranked in the top 20, joining Western Nebraska Community College, who is currently ranked No. 5.
Eastern Wyoming heads to McCook, Neb. this weekend for a tournament on Friday and Saturday. The Lady Lancers get Otero (Colo.) Junior College at 1 p.m. and Barton (Kan.) Community College at 5 p.m. Friday. The next day, they will play Butler (Kan.) Community College at 9 a.m. and McCook at 5 p.m. Saturday.
