SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. – The Eastern Wyoming College Lady Lancers failed to put enough points together to pick up the win over the sixth-ranked Western Nebraska Lady Cougars, falling in three sets.
The first set was the closest, with EWC dropping it 25-17. In both the second and third sets, the Lady Cougars found the win, 25-15.

“We did some good things, but couldn’t string enough together to challenge down the stretch,” coach Julie Sherbeyn said.
At the service line, Kylee Tresch led the way with two aces, with Helena Khouri adding one of her own. Tresch paced the team in assists, with 11. Khouri had a solid night in the back line, topping the stat sheet in digs, with 14. Dawson Sharman chipped in another six.
At the net, Lissette Lefforge racked up six kills to lead the Lady Lancers. Katie Strohschein was second on the team in kills, with five.
The Lady Lancers are still searching for their first win of the season. They sit at 0-7 overall, with an 0-3 record in the region. EWC has the weekend off before returning to their home floor Wednesday, hosting Northeastern Junior College at 7 p.m.
