TORRINGTON – The Eastern Wyoming College Community Education department is presenting a series of musical performance groups with Wyoming connections from genres of country blues, contemporary country, and country rock with an appeal to a wide variety of community members and EWC students.
The groups for this concert series were selected because of the strong Wyoming ties they hold, Wyoming natives currently or previously living in Wyoming, and they have made performing in Wyoming a priority.
Michael Hurwitz is a Wyoming-based singer-songwriter with a style that falls somewhere between Delta Blues and Western Cowboy Swing. His performances are a compelling mix of stories and humor from a life well spent, combined with outstanding musicianship, songwriting and a warm relaxed singing style.
Michael Hurwitz and the Aimless Drifters will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, in the EWC Fine Arts Auditorium. The cost for tickets is $15.

Singer-songwriter Jared Rogerson draws his inspiration from countless miles atop broke saddle horses traveling the rugged mountains near his home in Pinedale. His original songs have strains of musical genres including country, Americana, western and folk, engaging the audience with the stories behind each
composition.
The Jared Rogerson Trio will perform at 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 7, in the EWC Fine Arts Auditorium. Tickets are $15.
The Patti Fiasco band is from Wyoming and composed of four members, including lead vocalist, Alysia Kraft from Encampment. The band now resides in Ft. Collins, Colo., but they continue to play many Wyoming venues and are excited to be coming to Torrington. Patti Fiasco’s music has been described as a soulful brand of rock and roll, with a heavy dose of rockabilly, blues and ballad.
The Patti Fiasco’s will take to the EWC Fine Arts Auditorium stage at 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 11. Tickets are $15.
