LAKEWOOD, Colo. – Elizabeth “Lizzie” Vanderpoel Yaden, 41, died on October 31, 2022 at the hospital in Lakewood. She was born in Torrington, Wyoming in 1981 to Philip and Rebecca Vanderpoel. She graduated from Torrington High School and served as Prom Queen and Class President.

Lizzie treated everyone in her life as if they were the most special person in the world. She had a beautiful ready smile and words of encouragement for all of her friends and her family. She married the love of her life, Imkong Yaden at the Huntley farm in June of 2005. They lived in Lakewood during their marriage with daughter, Marley who was born in March of 2010. The family is talented musically, creatively, and artistically. Lizzie loves painting anything from rocks to birdhouses and everything in between.

Lizzie’s celebration of life was held on Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Huntley Farm where she grew up. It was attended by so many people, classmates from High School, friends from Colorado, former employers and co-workers, and all of her family. There was an abundance of wonderful food and laughter ending with the release of white balloons into the sky.

Lizzie is survived by her husband, Imkong Yaden, daughter, Marley Yaden, sister, Melanie Wolfe (Aaron), nephews, Keiser and Griffin Wolfe, niece, Briella Wolfe, sister, Sarah (Denver) and aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father, Philip Rouse Vanderpoel, grandparents, Wayne and Sally Vanderpoel and Jay and Betty Knowlton.
