TORRINGTON – Grave side services for Elizabeth “Betty” Arnold, 85, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at Valley View Cemetery in Torrington with the Rev. Bill Marietta officiating.

Visitation will be Friday morning from 11 a.m. to noon Friday at Colyer Funeral Home in Torrington.

Mrs. Arnold died Feb. 10, 2017, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne.

Mrs. Arnold was born May 9, 1931 in Carrollton, Ohio, the daughter of Fred and Nellie (Davis) Brunner. She grew up and received her early education in Ohio before moving with her family to Hawk Springs, where she graduated high school.

She married Louis Arnold on June 11, 1950 and they lived all their lives on the homestead.

Mrs. Arnold enjoyed crafting, sewing and cooking. She was a member of the Hawk Springs Women’s Auxiliary and the Wide Awake Extension Club.

She is survived by two sons Lindsey (Betty) Arnold of Hawk Springs, and Barry Arnold of Torrington; a daughter Linda (Jack) York of Hawk Springs; two grandsons Brandon York of Hawk Springs and Dan Arnold of Bridgeport, Neb,; two great-grandsons Lance and Mason York; and a sister Marilyn Johnson.

Mrs. Arnold was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Louis; a brother Mike Brunner; and a sister Doris Cutchal.

Memorials may be given to the Hawk Springs Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Unit. Arrangements are under the direction of the Colyer Funeral Home. Friends may send condolences to the family at www.colyerfuneralhome.com.
