Bennett, Colo. – Lt. Col. (ret.) Douglas Wayne Webb, 56, passed away peacefully after a long heroic battle with ALS, June 7, 2017, in his home in Bennett, Colo., surrounded by family.
He was born Oct. 26, 1960, in Scottsbluff, Neb. He graduated Morrill High School in 1979. He married Sheri Culver on June
26, 1982.
Doug served our country for more than 33 years. As a Physician Assistant in the Armed Forces he earned his Army Jump Wings, two Bronze Stars and numerous awards and medals.
He was a faithful Christian man known for his humor and heartwarming smile. He could make any situation, even combat, bearable.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sheri, daughter, Amanda (Patrick Sullivan) of Colorado Springs, Colo., and son, Kevin (Lindsey) of Cheyenne, three grandchildren, and his parents Harold and Jean Webb of Morrill, Neb.
There will be a memorial service at 3 p.m. on June 14, at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colo., where he will be given full military.
A reception will follow. A memorial is being established through Dr. David Jeremiah Turning Point in lieu of flowers.
