LINGLE – The Lingle-Fort Laramie High School football team suffered its second straight loss on Friday at the hands of the Saratoga Panthers.

The Panthers scored more than 20 points in the first and third quarters to power past the Doggers, 66-43.

It didn’t take the Doggers long to put up the first points of the game.

Only four plays into the game, and senior quarterback Cooper Hill broke free for an 11-yard run. Senior kicker Ty Prall added the point after, but it proved to be the only lead of the evening for the home team.

Saratoga answered right back with a score of its own, adding the two-point conversion.

The Panthers never trailed again for the remainder of the game.

Saratoga’s lead reached as many as 30-7 before the Doggers reached the end zone again until the second quarter.

This time it was Prall who raced past the Panther defense for an 18-yard run. Hill added the two points.

The Doggers cut the Saratoga lead to 30-23 at the half with a 5-yard touchdown run by Slade Hopkins.

Coming out of the break, the Panthers pushed their lead to 44-23 before Hopkins broke the plane of the end zone again on a 13-yard run.

By the end of the third, Saratoga led 60-35, and over the final 12 minutes, each team added a touchdown in the final quarter.

Hopkins led the team with 115 yards rushing on 16 carries. Hill added 105 yards on 13 attempts.

The Doggers only passed once in the game, and the pass fell incomplete.

Defensively, Hill led the Doggers with 18 points, including six assisted tackles and six unassisted tackles. Freshman Nolan Spears added 14 defensive points. He had six unassisted tackles and a pass breakup.

The Doggers (2-3 overall and 1-3 in the 9-Man East) travel to Moorcroft (2-3 and 1-3) today. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
