TORRINGTON – In accordance with his wishes no services will be held for Dale Jerome Gripp, 81, who died at Community Hospital in Torrington surrounded by his loving family. Cremation has taken place and his ashes with be interred in the Cheyenne Veteran’s Cemetery in Cheyenne. The Colyer Funeral Home assisted the family with the cremation arrangements.
Dale served proudly in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Philipsburg, Montana. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Torrington.
Dale leaves to mourn, his wife of forty-two years Gerry Kay Gripp; his sisters Sandy (Clark) Ridgeway of Seeley Lake, Montana and Sharon Martin of Washington state; his daughter Amanda (Clifford) Ziarno of Brestow, Virginia; his step children Thea, Enid and Tom; his adopted son Terry (Kim) Gripp of Marysville, Washington; his step children Calvin (Celeste) Dahl of Torrington, Wyoming and Sheryl (Randy) Cox of Stout, Iowa; his sister-in-law Phyllis (Charlie) Bickel of Pueblo West, Colorado; his brother-in-law Lin (Barb) Seder of Sand Springs, Oklahoma. He had numerous nieces and nephews. Dale had eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He had many good friends in Philipsburg, Montana and Torrington. He was preceded in death by his parents David and Elizabeth (Franek) Gripp.
