GLENROCK – Ten members of the Southeast High School boys’ basketball team cracked the scoring column Friday evening in a 61-23 victory over the Glenrock Herders.
Southeast held an early 18-11 lead at the end of the opening quarter, but the Cyclone defense held Glenrock to only 12 points for the remainder of the game.
In the second quarter, Southeast pushed its lead to 33-16 by halftime and to 46-22 heading to the final eight minutes of the game.
Seniors Reece Robertson and Hayden Anderson led the Cyclones with 10 points each. Junior Cord Herring added nine points, while seniors Sawyer Anderson and Bodie Herring tossed in seven apiece.
The Cyclones shot 22-of-37 for 59% percent in the game, including 6-of-11 from 3-point range.
Bodie Herring grabbed a team high nine rebounds, and Hayden Anderson tallied seven.
The Cyclones (8-7) are back in action at home on Friday evening against Pine Bluffs (6-7) before hitting the road on Saturday to Lusk to face the Niobrara County Tigers (5-9). Action gets underway at 7 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday.
