The Southeast Lady Cyclones picked up two wins this weekend, beating Burns Thursday, 51-14, and Glenrock at home Saturday, 46-23.

Cyclone girls add two wins

YODER – The Southeast Lady Cyclones picked up two wins this weekend, beating Burns Thursday, 51-14, and Glenrock at home Saturday, 46-23.

Southeast 46, Glenrock 23
The Lady Cyclones got off to a fast start against the Lady Herders. Southeast held a 12-8 lead after the first frame and they built that lead to 25-12 by intermission.

The second half was more of the same, as the Lady Cyclones outscored Glenrock 8-4 in the third and 13-7 in the fourth to cruise to the win.
Emily Buchanan was the leading scorer for Southeast, with 14 points. She also hauled in seven rebounds, which was tied for a team-high. The senior accounted for a team-high five assists on the afternoon.
Hailey Anderson and Kaci Schmick both had nine points against the Lady Herders. Anderson also had seven boards to her credit, with four coming off the offensive glass. Ellie Schmitt had five steals during the game to lead Southeast.

The Lady Cyclones now sit at 12-3 on the season, with a 2-1 record in the conference. They return to the floor to take on their cross-county rivals. Southeast and Lingle-Fort Laramie will play on Thursday at 6 p.m.
