YODER – The Wyoming State FFA Convention was held April 10-13, 2019. Chapters from across the state brought teams to compete in multiple career development events and leadership development events.
The Southeast FFA Chapter finished second in the LDE Sweepstakes. Contests contributing to this sweepstakes were the first-place finish of the Ag Issues team (Kadra Clark, Sheridan Pragnell, Dylan Cline, Luke Haas, Zander Ramirez), Bree Coxbill winning first in the Creed Speaking, Kaci Schmick placing third in her prepared speech, and the Parliamentary Procedure team placing fourth. Novice Parliamentary Procedure placed fifth.
The Ag Issues team, along with Bree Coxbill, will get the opportunity to represent Wyoming at Nationals this fall. The Ag Mechanics team placed second. The meats judging team placed fifth while the agronomy team finished eighth. The horse team finished 15th.
The Farm and Business Management team placed second. For the talent competition, Dylan Cline got first place and will represent Wyoming at nationals as well.
