Country Doctor offers library lecture

TORRINGTON – The doctor is in.

This Saturday, Dan Young, of Country Doctor Nutritional Center in Cheyenne, will visit Goshen County to discuss all-natural, alternative medicine.

Young joined CDNC in 2001 and completed Traditional Naturopath certification and internship with his father, Samuel Young, in 2003, according to the CDNC website (countrydoctornutritionalcenter.com).

“I believe, based on decades of clinical experience, more than 90 percent of our ill health is thrust upon us by advertising coupled with a lack of knowledge,” Young said in the preface to his book, Your Personal Guide to the Ultimate Healing System. “In order to engage the idea of natural healing, you must change your mindset from one of ‘Oh, I’ll just run down to the doctor’s office and they will take care of me,’ to a mindset of questioning everything pertaining to your health.”

Torrington resident and Country Doctor client Marla Baker attested to Young’s natural healing techniques.

“I’ve gone to him now for almost a year – he’s done wonders for me and my step-daughter,” she said. “My step-daughter was on lots of medication for her allergies. Now she’s down to one medication and can pet her cats without
sneezing.”

Young will offer a naturopathic lecture at the Goshen County Library Activity Center from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28. The public is welcome

to attend.

Baker advised the lecture will consist of Young’s journey to becoming a naturopath, the ins and outs of naturopathy, kinesiology, and offer several demonstrations on willing audience members.
