TORRINGTON – Connie Hort passed away May 7, 2021. She was born May 5, 1943 in Scottsbluff, Neb. to Beuford and Mary Catherine Jones. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Our Savior Lutheran Church. Connie grew up in Sheep Creek, Neb., attending elementary school and graduated from Torrington High School in 1961. She married Rod Hort Aug. 12, 1962, spending fifty-eight years as a devoted and adoring wife. She was also a loving, caring and dedicated mother, grandmother and friend to many.
Connie cherished spending time with her family and friends where there was always plenty of love and laughter. No one appreciated a sense of humor more than she did. She was a loyal supporter to her beloved Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos. Connie was a regular and active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church where the strength of her faith and love of Christ kept her strong to the end. “God is within her she will not fail.” Psalm 46:5.
Connie is survived by her husband Rod; daughter Tonya Price (Jeff); son Tracy Hort (Burgundy); four grandchildren Bridgit Corkill (Steven), Tanner Hort (Darcy), Ava and Bella Price; and nieces Cheryl Fillingham and Lori Neely (Brian). She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Beulah Travis and Sandy White; brother Daryl Jones; niece Barbara Purintun; and nephew Gary White.
