CODY – As flexible learning and digital literacy continue to gain momentum, many parents are looking beyond traditional brick-and-mortar schools for their child’s education. Among the alternative education options is Wyoming Connections Academy, a tuition-free online public school that serves K-12 students statewide. Today, students are heading back to school for the 2017-18 academic year.
“We welcome each of our new and returning students to another year of personal and educational growth” said Shannon Siebert, principal at Wyoming Connections Academy. “With some of the state’s finest teachers and brightest students, we’re excited to see our rigorous yet flexible curriculum assist students in surpassing their greatest potential.”
The new school year kicks off just as the results of the school’s Parent Satisfaction Survey reveals that 95 percent of parents agree that the curriculum is high quality, 96 percent of parents are satisfied with teachers’ helpfulness, 95 percent of parents say their child or children are satisfied with KCA’s program and 92 percent of parents agree that the school’s technology tools improve their child’s learning experience.

“What I liked the most about WYCA was the ability to do my classes on my schedule. I enjoyed being in control of my own education,” said Josh McCracken, Wyoming Connections Academy graduate.
Wyoming Connections Academy expects to serve approximately 400 students in the 2017-18 school year. In addition to the rigorous curriculum, the school offers innovative and diverse courses, including foreign languages, digital technology and web design, as well as Career Technical Education (CTE) courses for students interested in gaining career-specific knowledge.
Wyoming Connections Academy offers a flexible learning environment for children with a dynamic schedule, students who are ahead or behind in the classroom, learn at a different pace from their peers or want a more individualized approach to learning. State-credentialed teachers work with students to develop customized learning programs that are tailored to each student’s education needs while maintaining a curriculum that meets state education standards.
Enrollment for the 2017-18 school year is currently open, and online information sessions are being held for families interested in learning about its online program and individualized approach to education.  For more information on Wyoming Connections Academy, please visit the school’s website at www.wyomingconnectionsacademy.com.
