TORRINGTON – Felicity Schirmer and Ryan Jelinek are the proud new parents to Odin Anthony Shane Jelinek. Odin arrived at 10: 24 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, at Torrington Community Hospital. Odin was 22 inches long and weighed seven pounds 10 ounces.
“He’s beautiful,” Odin’s grandmother, Heather Maldonado, said.
Adding to the excitement, Schirmer learned Odin was the first baby born in Torrington Community Hospital in 2021. Torrington Community Hospital provided Schirmer with a basket of items for the baby in light of the event.
“I am very excited, and I am glad to be home,” Schirmer said. “Childbirth is no joke!”
