Goshen County Democrats

TORRINGTON – The Goshen County Democratic Party invites and welcomes interested county residents to their monthly meetings, held on the fourth Tuesday of every month, 6 p.m. at the Goshen County Library Annex, 2017 East A St. in
Torrington.

GoCo Quilters meetings changed

TORRINGTON – The regular meeting place for the Goshen County Quilters group has changed.

Monthly meetings will still be on the second Saturday of the month, but will be hosted in the Bethel Baptist Church gymnasium, 2980 East D St., in Torrington.

The group does not meet during the months of July and August.

Overeaters Anonymous

TORRINGTON – The Torrington chapter of Overeaters Anonymous hosts two meetings Tuesdays locally. The organization is a 12-step group designed to help stop compulsive eating and food behaviors while working toward attaining and maintaining healthy body weight.

Veterans’ Day Dinner 

LAGRANGE – American Legion Auxiliary No. 7 will host a special dinner to honor all veterans and their spouses at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, at the LaGrange War Memorial Community Building in LaGrange.

Longhorn Café will cater the meal. All are invited to honor the veterans of the community. Attendees are asked to bring items for a silent auction to raise funds for the Year ‘Round Christmas at the Veteran’s Hospital.

Business Roundtable set

TORRINGTON – The Goshen County Economic Development Corporation will host its regular monthly Business Roundtable and luncheon beginning at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, in The Loft of the 21st and Main building in downtown Torrington.

Guest speaker will be Kate Debow, coach and owner of High Ground Coaching and Development of Riverton. Debow has worked in sales, finance and fundraising, along with experience in volunteerism and education. Her business offers coaching services to teams and individuals on sales, hiring and training, political aspirations and more, according to a press release.
