Christmas Cantata, concert set
TORRINGTON – Churches around the community will come together again this year to present the annual Christmas Cantata, The Glory of Christmas.
The contata is directed by Joyce Willeke. The final 2018 performances will be 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 14, at First Wyoming Presbyterian Church, and; 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at All Saints Episcopal Church.
Soloist will be Danielle Eichenberger and narrators are Julie Newman and Grant Jones.
Cantata performances are free and the public is invited.
First Wyoming Presbyterian Church will also play host to the annual Community Christmas Concert, set for 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, featuring several choirs, vocal ensembles and instrumental groups.
The Community Christmas Concert is free and the public is invited. A free-will offering will be accepted to benefit Gracie’s Promise.

Sing-a-Long
JAY EM – The Community Church in Jay Em will host its 12th annual Community Christmas Sing-a-Long at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16.
Everyone is invited to come and share in singing the songs of the season. Anyone with a favorite poem, reading or song is encouraged to bring it along to share.
Attendees are asked to bring various finger foods or cookies for snacks. Coffee, hot cider and puch will be provided.
Library Book Sale
GOSHEN COUNTY – The Goshen County Library Foundation will host its annual winter book sale, Jan. 5-12, at 2017 East A Street in Torrington.
Hours will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.
A variety of books will be available at $15 per bag from Jan. 5 to 8, when the price drops to $10 per bag through Jan. 12.
