‘Colorful Minds’ open at Art Center

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. – The West Nebraska Arts Center, with the support of the Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, is pleased to present Colorful Minds: What Mental Health Means to Me in our Bronson Gallery.
Colorful Minds is a group, non-juried exhibit open to all art mediums and styles.
The goal of the exhibit is to bring public awareness to the stigma of mental illness through art. Many people have a preconceived notion of what mental illness looks, and this exhibit seeks to challenge that perception. Cirrus House, Inc. focuses on providing quality of life and independence for people living with mental illness in the Nebraska Panhandle through opportunities for advocacy, housing, employment, education and a peer supported community where members can find belonging and purpose.

For the second year, WNAC is collaborating with Cirrus House, Inc., to provide opportunities for artists of all skill levels who may otherwise not be able to show
their work.
Colorful Minds: What Mental Health Means to Me will be on view in the Bronson Gallery through Aug. 27th. Gallery hours are Tuesday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. The gallery is closed Mondays. Gallery admission is free.
The West Nebraska Arts Center is a cultural non-profit organization committed to education, awareness and excellence in the arts, serving the North Platte Valley Region. WNAC is located at 106 East 18th Street in Scottsbluff. To learn more visit www.thewnac.com or find us on Facebook and Instagram.
