TORRINGTON – Carolyn L. Culbert’s work on Earth is done. God extended an invitation to our Lord and Savior’s resurrection party on April 16, 2017, Easter Sunday, and she was more than obliged to attend after a long fight with cancer.
Carolyn was born in Seattle, Wash., and lived a life filled with such a sweet spirit and joy that God saw he needed her as addition to his party. There was surely a tambourine with her name on it waiting for her and I am sure she was dancing and rejoicing that Jesus is alive as she entered the gates of Heaven. Carolyn’s love was serving others like Christ served us, to which she spent a long time serving as an employee of Life Publishers in Springfield, Mo., and Pacific Telecom Incorporated in Kalispell, Mont., and Juneau, Alaska.
The invitation included a huge bonus of being reunited with family and friends that have gone on before her, including her mother Juel Huggans and father Hebert Rogers of Seattle, Wash., and father-in-law Charles Lee Culbert of Bigfork, Mont. Those left to carry on her faithfulness and spirit here on Earth are her husband of 43 years, David L. Culbert of Torrington, her son and daughter-in-law Aaron and Stephannie Culbert of Springfield, her daughter Adrienne L. Culbert of Saint Robert, Mo., and her eight grandchildren, Kyra and Logan Gibbins, Isaac, Andrew, Jacob, Mallory and Natalie Echelberry and Sean Doucet of Fairbanks, Alaska, and all those who called her family.
