CASPER – Torrington’s Caleigh Essert has been busy picking up the first-place finishes in an effort to get ready for the Girls Junior America’s Cup in Las Vegas, Nev.
Just days after qualifying for the big event, Essert returned to competitive action June 28-29 in Laramie at the Jacoby Golf Course. She won the two-day event, posting scores of 78 and 75 to finish with a two-day score of 153.
On July 11, the Torrington golfer won a tournament at the Cottonwood at Torrington during the Panhandle Junior Golf Tour, carding a 75. She just returned from the Wyoming Junior Tournament at the Paradise Valley Golf Course in Casper on Monday, where she finished first with a score of 76.
